Practice - chandelier collage

Exploring the idea of how colour can effect an object i decided to make a collage using the same image of the chandelier in colour and one in black and white.
i like how this collage turned out, to me it is visually appealing because of its sharp corners and geometric shapes. from my previous collages i chose to use the same triangular pattern. i make most of my collages with this aesthetic because it is what has come naturally to me throughout my own practice.

Because of how dark the colours from the original photos are its difficult to distinguish the difference in colours. if i were to re-do the piece i would choose a picture that was much brighter so the contrast would be greater.
I'd like to work a bit more with changing the photos colour and seeing how it changes the complete look of the object.
there was a brightly coloured tapestry in the church that i will do more experimentation with.
