Following on from collages experimenting with colour i decided to use a photo of an object that was much more colourful so there would be a bigger contrast. i experimented with Photoshop so i could get quicker results, however i think the results aren't as successful as a physical collage.
i tried using the same pattern of geometric black and white triangles however this didn't have the same effect when it was on Photoshop. the contrast isn't as easy to see when it is digitally produced. if i were to continue to experiment with colour in this way i would do it physically so i could get better results even with experimentation.
after an unsuccessful start i decided to change the hues of separate parts of the tapestry. this worked much better than striping its colour all together as it looks more insignificant and dishevelled. i believe this because the image does not look like something of worth with just the change of colours.
i still believe separating the items images and contorting them is more successful than just changing the images colour.
